shadowhiveI’ve just seen on Twitter this article from a site called Geeks Wordwide which says it has an exclusive that Netflix has renewed a The Umbrella Academy for a second series.
More information will get posted as it comes through but the site says the following:
Netflix has renewed their hit comic book adaptation ‘Umbrella Academy’ for a second season, the GWW has learned.
It will go into production later this year in Toronto with Peter Hoar directing the first episode. Hoar also directed the pilot and tenth episode of the first season.
The first season follows six superpowered siblings who set out to solve the mystery of their father’s death as the apocalypse looms over their heads.
‘Umbrella Academy’ is based on the best selling comic book by Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba. The series hails from Steve Blackman and Jeremy Slater and stars Ellen Page, Tom Hooper, and Robert Sheehan.
